Tailgating — A family Tradition
Hookup Trailers attended the 2006 season opener between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengal's. The parking lots were very accessible for tailgating and the tailgating fans were among the friendliest we have met to date. We were invited to participate in many of the parking lot games and tailgating cuisine. One group of tailgaters was a family whose team loyalties were split due to their geographical domiciles. Joe and Marlena Schnatz with their friends Rich Conners and Diana Barlion all Bengal's fans from Cincinnati traveled to tailgate, attend the game and enjoy some sibling rivalry with family members, and Chiefs' fans, Marty and Mary Schnatz of Kansas City. Tailgating truly is family, friends, football, food and FUN!

Baseball Tailgating—Principal Park, Des Moines
HookUp's Paul Ward sets up for the tailgating party about to start at Des Moines' Principal Park, home of the Iowa Cubs. It was a perfect afternoon, with clear skies and 80 degree temps.
Pretty soon a large crowd assembled around the HookUp Trailer and its array of optional equipment. This trailer is a compelling 2-tone silver gray and dark blue. The matching round canopy shades the area and mounting hardware support sturdy tables and BBQ grill. (The propane tank is really neat! It hides right behind the grill itself). The trailer carries all the gear you see PLUS several coolers filled with liquid refreshments and all the eats required to party hearty. In fact, the trailer can easily carry an entire keg if the event is big enough to handle it.
The trailer itself can be ordered with a choice of several different axles allowing up to 1,000 lbs GVW. The frame and tongue are way over engineered and could actually carry much more. It's the wheels that really drew the most questions. These car-sized wheels can be ordered to match any vehicle you drive and the trailer colors can be ordered to match the vehicle too. Not shown (till he finally got tired) are the team bag chairs that pop out of the roomy cargo area for friends and guests to sink into. In fact, it was about now that I went and found those chairs and cracked open the first of ... (a few) Bud Lights.
College World Series — Tailgating Prize Package
And the winner is.
Tailgaters and other attendees of the College World Series held in Omaha, NE during June 2006 had the opportunity to preview a new tailgating product, the HookUp Trailer. The increasing popularity of the sporting event known as "tailgating" and the growing number of tailgating products has generated a demand for more space required to transport and store all of your tailgating equipment to, from and during each event. To add to the fun and excitement, a tailgating prize drawing was offered to everyone who previewed the HookUp Trailers. The "tailgating prize package" was a select group of tailgating products consisting of a table top propane gas grill, grilling utensils (spatula, fork, basting brush, tongs), plate caddy (set of 8), tailgating recipe cook book and a cooler on wheels.
We are happy to announce that Rick P. of Omaha, NE is the winner of the HookUp Trailers "Tailgating Prize Package". Rick and his wife Nancy both told us that they never ever win anything. Well they can't say that anymore. Congratulations Rick! We will be looking for Rick and Nancy at a tailgate party somewhere in the near future.
The Tailgator: Cajun Tequila
Enjoying one of the many accessories available to play with the HookUp 'Team Spirit' Trailer, we introduced The Tailgator Blender during the College World Series in June! As if the trailer didn't attract enough attention, reving up the Tailgator Blender and serving a little Tailgating juice got LSU fans all stirred up! One thing you gotta love about a Hookup 'Team Spirit' Trailer and a little Tailgating juice - it doesn't matter what team you're rooting for - here it's all about having fun and cheering each other on - even if you are a LSU fan!
